Gazprom Visited Gusar Plant

On September 5, an agreement on the implementation of investment projects in sports, recreation, and social development was signed on the premises of Gusar Valve Plant in Gus-Khrustalny with the participation of the Governor of Vladimir Region and Mr. Valery Golubev, Deputy Board Chair at Gazprom. Fitness and sports centers in Gus-Khrustalny and Sobinsky Districts, 10 stadiums in several communities of Vladimir Region are planned to be built within the next five years as part of Gazpromís youth development program. As part of the event, Mr. Alexander Berezkin, CEO at Gusar, gave the representatives of PJSC Gazprom and Vladimir Region Government a tour of the manufacturing site, including a visit to the brand new foundry, set in operation earlier this year.
Two years ago, the regionís businesses signed contracts with Gazprom for a total of more than 7 billion rubles, while last year the figure doubled to 15 billion rubles. Through its partnership with Gazprom, Gusevo Valve Plant Gusar LLC, on whose premises the new agreement was signed, has become one of the regionís leading manufacturing companies and the largest one in Gus-Khrustalny.
As Mr. Valery Golubev pointed out, partnership with Gazprom has changed the situation for the better both for the region and for Gusar. "We pay special attention to those regions with which we fruitfully and successfully cooperate. I am convinced that soon we will bring the natural gas distribution network coverage in Vladimir Region to the desired level. And, of course, we will continue to invest in the youth ó the nationís future," said the Deputy Board Chair (based on a press release by Vladimir Region Government). He also drew attention to the fact that the production site in Gus-Khrustalny is an showcase of the import substitution programís performance: "For industry and agriculture, the international sanctions are a chance to grow. We can domestically produce things that are cheaper and of a comparable quality level. In general, this effort is a guarantee of the energy security of Russia."
Gusar has been a participant of the import substitution program since 2009, partnering with Russiaís key oil and gas companies, such as Gazprom and Transneft, and has developed more than 100 types of import-substituting technology.
